Which rear leafs would you guys recommend for the best straight line traction from a stop, Global West L2 or Hotchkis? I'm getting rid of my slide-a-links and want the best leaf springs for getting me out of the hole on the street with 275/40/17 street radials out back. I still want the car to handle well (no Moroso trick springs or drag shocks), so whatever manufacturer I go with for rear springs, I'll go with the same for the front springs. I recently put KYB gas-adjust shocks on all four corners.
Thanks.

I have the hotchkis setup. Unfortunately, running 275/40/17 street radials and traction don't always go hand in hand. You might want to consider running a drag style radial if you want more traction.

i use the l-2s and have m/t drag radials. traction is no issue. notice my 60 foot time below: that's a torque converter/rear gear/heavy wheel and brakes issue. i can barely burnout and have no hop at all.

GW L-2s and 275/50/15 Hoosier drag radials nets 1.61 60 foots with a broken motor...

Last weekend marked the completion of an install of global west subframe connectors, global west L-2 leaf springs w/ their del-a-lum shackle kit, and new body bushings.
So far I am very pleased with the results, especially considering I got to remove sagging old leaf springs and slapper bars. In retrospect, the only thing keeping the leaf spring sag under control was the fact that they were resting FULL TIME on the slapper bars. I'll post more as I have more data to provide from the swap. I will say that I went this direction after extensive research on this topic and IMHO think the design of he L-2s are tailor made for elimination of spring wrap and wheel hop.

I agree and personally have never experienced wheel hop thanks to the L-2s!

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'm leaning towards the Global West L2's.
