I was wondering how well Halogen lighting works and how it compares to florescent lighting. Does one use more juice than the other ? Will fewer Halogens make more light than florescent ?

![]() Its not so fun in Texas in the summer in front of one of these things. Then again, in the mild winters, they warm up my garage! |

Lots of light, plenty of heat. Knock one over and buy a new bulb.

I've got ceiling mounted halogen lights in the shop down in the barn. They mke pretty good light, but they are hot. Not an issue for me since they are 22' in the air, but if your ceiling is lower, they'll roast you. Go with the florescent. They use allot less electric.
