my camaro is tripping it idles up a lil and seems like its gasping for air does any1 knows what this problem could be please respond asap

It is throwing any codes?

What does the intake look like if you take the inlet elbow off? If it is really cruddy it might be interfering with the IAC operation.

Check the obvious things first like a plugged air cleaner, or blocked MAF and vacuum leaks as Chris suggested.

Vacuum leaks can be found with a water mister bottle with the engine running spraying areas where the throttle body bolts to the manifold of where vacuum lines are routed or connect to the throttle body or manifold, and around where the intake manifold bolts to the heads. When water hits your vacuum leak the engine will run mcuh better for a moment until the water evaporates.

Does it run OK at speed? The Opti Spark distributor is notorious on those cars for causing problems.
