All pre 68 chevy's came with a short water pump, and a driver side alternator.
69 and up used the long pump and pass side alternator. The 69 shroud is an inch shorter. ALL the pulleys and brackets are different. And you have to move and rewired the alternator. The power steering brackets are different too. If you have a/c, it has to switch sides too. Why would you want to change?

If you want to get a different bracket and keep the short water pump, look at these brackets from Alan Grove.
http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/S.B.Short_Pump.htm To emphasize what Jim said ALL pulleys and Brackets must be changed in going to a long waterpump.
