hey guys, I've got a 5.7L engine out of a 1989 Chevy van. I've yet to look at the ID tag if its a 2 or 4 bolt main, but assuming its a 4 bolt, can this fit into a 67-69 camaro? I'm assuming that becuase they really didn't change the block a whole lot, all that may be needed at the most would be a different set of engine brackets...or am i smoking dope?
thanks -John |

It will fit. You'll need to use the late type flywheel. They went to a 1 piece rear main seal in 86 and changed the flywheel at that time. The intake manifold for the 89 has slightly different angles for the center 4 holes where it bolts to the heads as well so you'll need a late style intake or swap the heads.

I'd check the oil pan to be sure it will clear and you will need motor mounts for a 67-69 Camaro, the ones from the 89 van will never work.
