Default Central FL Camaros at the track

There are so many motorsport events around here, I've sort of taken up photography as a hobby.

These photos were at the Orlando SpeedWorld track, 20 miles due east of Orlando.

Their big street race event of the year is in a couple of weeks, I should get some interesting photos then.

I bought a Nikon digital camera in 2006 and have gone to a lot of events and taken hundreds of photos. It looks like I'll have to replace it with a D60 or D80 soon as it is starting to jam-up. Any repairs starts at $175, so it's probably not worth fixing.

Anyways, here are some camaros.

One more camaro and a cool truck.

Oh, yeah, the wiggly lines in the photos are a result of reducing the resolution 80% so it fits on a web page in these forums.

The silver 67 above with the old school Cragers on the front belongs to my bodyman Bob. He has had it 15 years or so. He just got it up and running after doing what you see in the following video a couple years ago. Took him and the car a while to recover. If has a new motor (broke the old one, physically broke the old one) and he was just shaking it down in these pictures.

It is a pretty cool pump gas small block car. Driven 50 miles to the track, and ran low nines with the old motor which was a pump gas 377. It has more motor now (427 SB), but he is being a bit safe after his catastrophe. I expect we will see him turn up the wick soon. Keep your camera handy, the following came from no where!

What are you using to resize your pic's? If you have advanced settings in your software's resize feature look for "resampling" and set it to "bicubic", you'll loose the distortion you are getting now.

Nice shots, paning for motion blur is hard...

Okay thanks for the tip, but I'm just using some cheap software that came with a printer or camera.

The blur effect is a result of the low light levels in the evening (I've learned). Because it is a hobby, I don't do anything too special. I did a lot of high speed B&W years ago and it was a lot of work.

YouTube - silver Camaro wheel stand

Ouch.

It took forever to find, but it looks like I took 20 pictures of his car that day. Here are two more.

If he wants a couple of the better ones in high res, PM me an email.

Hey, where is a good tire shop around here for big tires and expensive rims?
