I know that the 1850's would probably be more ideal for a mild 460 BBC on the street, but here is my "give me your opinion"question. I wanted to run a couple of 600's turned sideways with center hung bowls on my weiand tunnel ram because I love that look. I just got a smoking deal on a couple of 3310 750's, which of course, already have the center hung bowls. I'm just wondering, since we are talking vacuum carbs with a 4 speed car and low gears, if I could get away with the 750's. I don't think they would see the secondaries too much on the street. 1500 cfm is a lot, but this thing would be in the primaries most of the time. Would it be way too sluggish or could I maybe step down the squirters to around 25's or so and get away with running them? Thanks! This is on my prostreet truck. Comp 280H, headers, 702 heads....ect.

Why don't you just put the center hung bowls on the 1850's? They will fit and it eliminates that ugly transfer tube that leaks. I got two 8007 390's on my small block mounted sideways with center hung bowls and ederle linkage. Looks like high dollar race carbs with the filters on!

That will probably be the end result except I will then have 2 usless 3310's. The transfer tube is going either way. I'm building custom fuel lines.

You all ready mentioned why 750's won't be good. You mainly use the primaries. A 750 Holley (square bores) have 375 CFM primaries. Running 2 of them is like running a single 750, wide open. Running 2 600's you will still have 300 CFM primaries for a total of 600 CFM !
Chassisboy has the right idea with two 390 CFM carbs. I know the "look" is what you are after, but you are going to have fun tuning it. What you need is to sleeve the carb and use smaller throttle plates. I don't know of anyone that can do this, but it is food for thought.

.The 1850,s will have crisper throttle responce on the street vs the 3310,s.The dual 750,s will most likely never fully open the secondarys but will size themselves accordingly. The 600,s is the better choice..getting into the secondarys sooner will help even out a/f distribution. This n/a setup will not require 1200 cfm.fwiw..if you go with the 750,s,downsizing the pump discharge nozzles will result in a lean backfire with that large tunnel ram plenum area.Nothing less than the v/s 600,s over 460 cid.The 390,s are better suited for the small blocks @ around 350 cid.

The 600s will be easier to live with but I have run 750s (6109 tunnel ram DPs) on a sort of street car that worked OK. You won't need a smaller squiter but a much bigger one and more than likely a RIO pump. Either way it will be horrible in cold weather untill it gets warmed up and use more gas than you can think possible.

You could install the 3310 center-hung bowls onto the 600 bodies.

If height isn't an issue, running tall 4 hole carb spacers might make the 3310's a bit friendlier

Thanks for the input guys! I'm just going to run the 600's with the 750 bowls. They make a 4150 swap kit so I can have adjustable rear jets on the 600's. It will give me the look I'm looking for without too much CFM. Thanks again.
