40 Coupe swears by Hoosiers.

MT ET Streets have a good following too.

Ive had good results with the ET Streets, but the ET Drag with the stiff sidewall worked the best

I would like to try Hoosier, have friends that swear by them

The only problem(?) with running a 10" wide slick on an 8" wide rim is a true slick will 'balloon' on the top end due to centrifugal force, the tire diameter will grow in the middle of the tread, nothing wrong with it.

The narrower the tire or the wider the rim, the less diameter growth. A normal thing.
I run the size of both and I have a full hand width between the tread and fender. The fender has rub marks.

Different tire construction, I forgot to mention I have Firestone's, now Phoenix, softer and lighter construction, 28.5X10.5X15.

10.5 x 28 M/T ET Drags on 8" rims
12 PSI and work well with the slapper bars.
