Default Twin Turbo Cars

Here are some photos of twin turbo cars at the track. You see a few like this on the street.

Here's some photos from another forum of a TT corvette. Basically the guy takes advantage of the turbocharger muffler effect. I thought this was good.

Well, it's too much fabrication for me.

But, the corvette above is supposed to be street driven, and this car too:

I wonder if he runs air filters on the street.

Most ProStreet cars are a tire change away from being race cars. Or are inspired by racecars. But if you don't want me posting here, that's fine.

Those cars appear to be in the NMCA(National Muscle Car Association). Another sanctioning body to check out is ORSCA(Outlaw Racing Street Car Association) as seen on HorsePower TV. If you get a chance to see an ORSCA event, check out the Limited Street class. It's the Outlaw 10.5 class without wheelie bars and it's some awesome racing.

rtj,
Don't sweat Jim he is just giving the Pro Street guys a hard time. What he probably doesn't realize is Pro Street is also a race class not just "street" cars. I didn't see anywhere on this site that said the Pro Street cars on this site must be street cars.

Now about the twin turbos, they are great for race cars but, not very practical for the street. My personal opinion is they look ugly in most cases (they look ok on race cars). Too much plumbing, very hard to package nicely, I don't like when the plumbing goes into the passenger compartment and the big intercooler is where the passenger seat is supposed to be. Of course that's my opinion.

One thing that can't be argues is they make BIG power. I have seen some of those cars run in person, the MPH is just silly.

Nice pic's! That is pro street as I know it!
Jim's just mad because he couldn't get past the red rope around the "pro touring" cars and the light was too bad in the car show arena for a picture......
A few of those guys were in Vegas this year (the new design Camaro almost crashed in fact..), I see a couple of outlaw 10.5 cars there.
We actually were going to go with a 358" twin 80 set up in our outlaw 10.5 car but I think we have changed direction back to a nitrous motor, especially after seeing the nitrous cars do so well in Vegas this year. The turbo cars were fast, but the all motor (900" ) and a few nitrous cars held their own.
But no one could catch this guy right here, with a smallblock ford, nitrous and a single carb on a cast intake........and a famous last name, Bill Glidden

The photography is a fun hobby, especially since I can't afford expensive race cars!

Good luck on the Outlaw car.
