Approximately how far ahead of the car assembly date can the engine assembly date be to still appear to be the correct engine for the car? If the engine assembly date is 1 month previous to the main car build date, is that within reason or is that too early? Thanks for your help, Bill

I have a 12C cowl tag build car with an engine build of 1202, with protecto plate. I have known cars to be more than 1 month between engine build and car assembly that are original. I am no expert but have looked at a bunch of cars.
