I recently bought a posi rear end for a 69 camaro. It had a limited slip but started to make some noise. That is why I decided to put the posi in. It is a ten bolt posi out of a 68. The problem I am having is that the drive shaft wont fit. I can tell that the rear end is a lot more heavy duty. Is this common or did I get a funky rear end? I will get the shaft shorten but just wanted to know if this is the case when you get a posi 10 or a 12 bolt? Thanks for any info
Rob

On my 69 which came with a stock 10 bolt in it. I swapped it out with a 12 bolt posi unit rear end. I had no issues with the driveshaft not fitting. My issues were with having to change lower shock plates, because of clearance with the lower shock and my inner rims. The only other change was the mounting bracket to the pumpkin for the brake lines.
