Default COPO barn find

Found a 1969 COPO car in a BARN. The guy bought this car new. The motor is in the car and the only thing that looks like it has been changed are the valve covers, he said that he has the somewhere. Going to look at the car again tomorrow and check numbers out and take pictures. Will most likley need most sheet metal replaced (WITH GM PARTS) What is car worth? (I will not have to pay to have restored can do all work myself) He also said he has the bill of sale and window sticker.

69 Copo, Original owner, Original engine, and documentation. Wow. Even needing a complete resto 35k is a no brainer.

Bill, you've got no more than 24 hours to get that car on your trailer or you will lose it like the guy on here who spent so much time checking out a legitimate '69 Trans-Am, he lost the deal. What happened is the sellers freind stepped in and "educated" the seller as to the true value of the car. CHECK OUT THE NUMBERS ON THE DRIVETRAIN AND DO THE DEAL NOW!!!!!

Bill,
I think i would take the advice given on here if you are at all in a position to fork over the money. It does seem time and again that there is a very small window to pull off a deal like this. Word gets out somehow and what was a smokin deal goes away when the seller realizes what he has. All it would take is for him to decide to throw it on ebay and its all over. Make the deal now!

Good luck!!

Sage ADVICE, as long as you can prove it is a real COPO.

That should take about 10 minutes. You see the size of Bidwell?

I am the almost-Trans Am-owner referred to...you need to show up with cash and a trailer today. Verify the car and get it off the property.

In my case, the Trans Am owner delayed and delayed and delayed. I couldn't get him to commit to meeting in person...by the time he did, his friend had talked him out of selling...I should have pushed harder to meet.
