Last time I filled the differential I spilled a lot of oil trying to fit the bottle up into position etc. I made this to fill it with a soda bottle, the cap from the lube bottle, hose and a basketball fill nozzle.
Cut the gear lube cap so the hose is a tight fit and slide the hose so it reaches to the bottom of the bottle. poke a hole in the cap for the fill nozzle, fill the bottle with fluid, place the open end of the hose in the differential and slowly and add low air pressure and the fluid will be pushed up into the differential. Be careful and do not use too much pressure, the bottle can explode and not only make a mess but hurt you as well. I did use the soda bottle because it can hold more pressure than say just the gear lube bottle. If I knew the exact amount needed to fill the differential I could have used a 2 liter bottle and added that amount and filled it with one shot. ![]() TTFN Mat

I use a suction gun. Pull the rod out , unscrew the top, fill with lube, screw top back on, insert hose into diff or trans, push rod in , repeat. looks exactly like this one.

Mat,
You can borrow my contraption anytime. I have been doing it this way for 35 years. Never spilled a drop. ![]() Something wrong with this web page this evening. My picture is posted, but it is not showing up??????? You can also use something like Urethane, special caulking, lasts resort silicone to also CAULK the hose onto the bottle. Still use the clamp. Then when this bottle is empty, put this lid on the next bottle.

Used to duct tape the lube bottle to the qtr panel and punch a hole in the bottom, gravity rules

By the time u guys mess around, head down to the local supply store pick up a suction gun and they are real cheap....shove the end into the oil bottle suck up the oil. poke in the diff hole and pump in.
Had a friend yrs ago, doing like u guys above squeezing the bottle etc...takes a while to squeeze and arms. wrist get a bit sore...i came home picked up my pump, cleaned it out, filled it and he was still putting his 1st bottle in.... His comment "you realy piss me off...how come you have all these wierd little tools and I dont" basically because I work hard at being lazy.
