Is it a real Z/28? Does it have it's original engine, trans and rearend? Any history on the car? It makes a very big difference price wise with only 602 '67 Z/28's being produced...

I will bring a flat bed to your house and take off your hands. Just think of all the storage space you will gain. You can text me and set up the appointment.

In 68 there were 7199 z28's.
It will need it's original engine, or a protecto plate to prove it's a z in 68.
There are other clues, df coded wheels, 4 leaf springs, 6k rpm tach, 4 piston disc brakes.
Also common stuff, no AC, 4 speed trans.
Without the POP, or MO coded engine, it's another camaro.

Things just got a little more difficult. At least with a 67 Z/28, the cowl tag will decode as a Z/28. The 68 Z/28's is the most difficult Z/28 to authenticate. Especially if the "MO" block is missing. BTW, 7199 68 Z/28's were made by GM.

"POP" is the protect-o-plate, it's documentation used to identify what a car is/was from the factory. It's attached to the original owners manual.

"MO" is a code stamped on the block that would tell you if the block belonged in a '67 or '68 Z/28

Sometimes we forget not everyone is into this stuff!!

Can we get any more litteral? Is your owners manual/warranty booklet stashed in it's envelope inside it's plastic storage bag and in the glove box? lol I always thought of the warranty info as part of the owners manual even if it was a seperate piece. Here's how the CRG words it...

Quote:
The Protect-o-Plate (POP) is a small stamped metal plate that was provided with each vehicle by the factory as part of the warranty and service package and was included in the owner's manual warranty documentation
