Default Low Profile Jack Recommendations?

I'm looking for a low profile jack. I'd like to hear recommendations from those who already have them! Thanks!

I've since sold my 65 Nova but it was so low in front I used an 80's Nissan model scissor type jack. I think it was a 1980 210 I got it from, worked great for me.

Not the Craftsman 1.5 ton, my Craftsman has been a POS, and my buddy has a harbor freight version of the same thats junk as well.

Thumbs up Re: Low Profile Jack Recommendations?

I am using the craftsman 2 ton aluminum one right now (for about 6 months). Pretty nice, I haven't had any problems so far (knock on wood) LOL.

Not sure if you're looking for a shop jack or an emergency jack for the trunk of your car but any good quality low profile racing type jack is a great addition to any shop. Something like this.. http://www.bosstoolsupply.com/index....D&ProdID=16343 If you're looking for a cheap easily found factory low profile jack for the trunk the mid 80s GM G bodies, Malibu, Monte Carlo, etc used a jack that will fit under most anything.

Hi i have one of these made by ac jacks. Its rated at 1.5 tons but lifts from 3 inch up to 30.... its great ....lifts everything but my suburban worked great on my 96 CE corvette and equally as well on my 98 ss camaro..awesome for liting cras way up for high jack stand positions for tranny removal etc.
I see ase does not have any more. i forget wher i got mine but i will post back. I found it on corvette forum couple years ago.
Ase list a couple alternatives might be worth looking into as well.

This omega at ase looks pretty decent 2.5 inch long reach 2 tons....wish it was around 2 years ago...

Matco tools makes a low profile jack that works great.Rolls easy, lifts great, used in a professional shop and no problems. This jack will slide under any new Corvette and lift my 3500 dually without any problems. For what a sears, harbor frieght charges for there ok today and junk next week one really can't afford not to purchase the jack from Matco.
