Which are the best plugs to get for a 79 with a 350 in it? There are a lot of different brands out there and I'm wondering what to get for next tune-up.

ACCEL are a good brand. Also, a good second generation site to check out is, www.nastyz28.com The board is pretty much the same as this one, but it's all about second genration camaros.

Alfonso,
I have never had a problem that I could honestly say was caused by a bad spark plug. I tend to use the brand that corresponds wiht the car manufacturer. GM cars get AC Delco....Ford gets Motorcraft etc. To be honest with you though all the name brands are probably just as good. If you are on a budget, get the cheapest ones. ------------------ Bill Koustenis Owner Advanced Automotive Machine Waldorf Md |

I would go with the ac plug... a ac delco rapid fire... you will see a differance in throttle responce... i did this plug isnt ultra expensive.... i agree most name brand plugs are good now.... dont waste your money on split fire or any trick plugs like that, rapide fire ac plugs are what i would call trick plugs too but arent $5 a plug like some of the other ones, flood it once and you will have to get new ones anyway.... they all work the same and do the same thing

bosch platinum is what I run. $2 a pop and I can notice a difference between the ac delco's. Not the 4 prong ones for $5 each though. I haven't tried rapid fire AC's though maybe I will next time.

has everyone forgot the autolights? these are my favorites, and if they are good enough for NASCAR, they are good enough for street cars

hey guys, what the hell ever happened to a decent ignition setup? plugs can only take u so far as far as throtle response power and gas milage. how about installing an msd setup like a 6al, thats what i use of course and i agree with hogrod, stick with the ac rapid fires, that's what i suggest.
