Advice please - one of my quarter window rollers is very stiff - the other side rolls easily in the track. I bought 2 replacement OER rollers - both are very stiff - even harder to roll. Should they roll easily? Seems like they should to be able to move the window up & down - but I'm surprised that the replacement ones are stiff. If they were supposed to be stiff - then wouldn't be round - right?
Thanks for advice.

John,
Good Memory! You are correct. The REAR Quarter Window rollers don't roll. Althought if you want to be technical. The bottom one will turn if you grab it hard and turn it. The turning does not make a difference. It does swivel (pivot). If it does not, you need to fix that. That should resolve your issues Wilson. Have Fun.

Thanks John & Dale. I will put them together - one side lower roller is stiff, other side rolls. Both will swivel - so they meet expectations. Seems to me that if they would roll, the window action would require less effort - but that's why we have power windows now. A few years ago, my 10 year old nephew did not know how to lower windows (manual) while riding with his aunt. So, guess in a 40 year old car, I better be prepared to crank - eh? Mechanisms sure look a lot better after cleaning up wit varsol scrubbing.
John, is the 'Have fun' comment a warning for the challenges of putting the windows back in - I didn't take them out - left that to the restoration technician that did body work. Now I have to put the puzzle back together. Thanks again

If they crank hard, you do not have them adjusted correctly.
Next time you are in Illinois, come look and operate mine.
