I recently aquired an intake manifold for a big block and am having trouble identifying it by casting number. It's an OEM aluminum with the winters snowflake, casting number is 6269318. It's a rect. port, dual plane for a spreadbore carb. Anybody out there have any ideas what it's off of???

Is it a low-profile intake, or a hi-rise??

David, it's a low profile design. Very heavy for a aluminum type, but definately aluminum. I've since found some reference to the casting number on chevymania.com, but they don't list an application.

6269318 is a 1968-69 - 396-427 Retangular Port Aluminum, used Holley carb. One book says its a HI RISE!!

I cannot find any passenger car application. It may be a service part, I will check my other books in the shop later and will post if I find it in the service parts supercessions book.
