Yes. There is no passenger or driver side for the mounts, same part number for both sides.

Is the motor fairly level from side to side? Fitting headers on a 1st gen with BBC and PS is a challenge, and only certain brands and part numbers fit well. Heck, even the factory manifolds (like mine below) fit tight, and there is a big recess cast into the driver side manifold.

Hooker 2457 seem to work well http://www.camaros.net/forums/showth...highlight=2457

Smile Re: 69 bb frame stands

People are getting Frame Mounts and Engine Mounts confused.

For the Big Block Frame mounts: These bolt to the frame crossmember! They then bolt to the engine mounts, which are bolted to the engine !

There is a left and right, individually they are not the same part numbers. If you order the new repro's as a pair they would have the same part number.

The short mount goes on the passenger side ! The engine is actually "rolled" to the passenger side.

The engine mounts are usually the same as the small blocks.
The "short and wide" mounts are for 67/68's. They are 2 5/8 wide.
The "tall and narrow" mounts are for the 69's. They are 2 3/8 wide.

NOTE: You must Use a Big Block Transmission Cross-member if you have a Big Block ! You will have header fitment problems if you don't. The BBC transmission will move the transmission 1/2" to the passenger side and forward 3/4".

Not sure where you saw the confusion Tom.

First post asked about the stands, the third the mounts. My answers were accurate.

It is more confusing when people call both things "mounts".

The part that bolts to the frame are called "brackets" in the AIM, though most here call them "frame stands" as I (and the OP) did.

The parts that bolts to the engine block are called mounts in the AIM and by me (and the OP).

Talking Re: 69 bb frame stands

Eric, My post was not against you, or anything that was said previously. People still are getting confused ! What I don't like is the term motor mounts. A motor is electric ! It is not a gas engine ! I guess I call them Frame mounts or Engine mounts to clarify which they are ! I know what you are saying about frame stands or brackets etc. When just the word mount is being used, it doesn't say anything about the frame or the engine !
We are in agreement ! We just use different terms ! Six one way, half a dozen the other.

Got it!

I am with you on the motor thing. I only used motor in my 2nd post because JR did in his OP, and I won't use it coupled with "mount."

I'll make sure to wait until you have posted the next time someone asks about "motor mounts"....
