Red face Getting RWL's White Again

Does anyone have any secrets as to how to get the Raised White Lettering on your tires looking like new? I have Goodrich Radial T/A's and they are getting dingy from the tire protectant being applied. My car sits in the garage until cruise nights. I have tried Bleach White, and SOS pads. They look better but not how I would like them to look. Thanks!

Hands down the least expensive, works best solution is an SOS pad from under the kitchen sink. I learned from my dad and they were using SOS before his time! A little water then scrub the entire side wall of the tire and hose off.

Castrol Super Clean.
Spray it on dry- scrub the tire with a wet brush- rinse with hose. (Biodegradable.)
Make sure you rinse the dirt off the driveway, after you wash your tire. ( the black dirt from your tire will stain the concrete it if it dries)

The key I have found to keeping white letters looking white after you have scrubbed the heck out of them. Before you apply the tire dressing. Get a clean cloth towel and apply the dressing to the white letters first and only the white letters. Then come back with another towel and apply the tire dressing to the rest of the tire. Other wise when you do them together the black tire rubs onto the white letters some making them get dingy looking quicker.
-Just my 2 cents.

Dennis is 100% right, nothing I have used works like an SOS pad and some elbow grease. I also learned this trick from my Dad..... those old guys know whats up
I have not run RWL tires in a long time though, black walls for me now and that definitely takes care of the problem.

Apparently Dennish knows his stuff when it comes to cleaning raised white lettering on tires as I used to use these too however I refer to them as Brillo pads which are steel wool soap pads!....They work excellent!
