Guy's,,, I am thinking about up grading my brakes on my Z. During the PowerTour I ran into lots of water and it looks like I will have to turn my factory front rotors again for the third time, getting too thin . I can live with replacing them with drilled replacements but would like to retain my factory single piston calipers if possible. SSBC has some nice cadium colored units but I need them all to match in colors if possible. Reason for keeping factory front is because of part number stamping.
I was also considering doing a rear drum brake conversion to disc. I would like to install factory style calipers but drilled rotors. I want my emergency brake to work. I see several kits out there for the rear but don't know whats best. Can anyone tell me what they have used for the rear setup? I want this rear conversion to be a turn key job, don't want to be running all over hells half acre to find every thing. Does any one know if the JL8 kit is the way to go? Do the JL8 caliper kits have factory part number stamping? Still running stock 12 bolt rear with C-clips. Changing to C clip eliminators is not an option. I would go to good aftermarket C-clip style before I did this. Thanks.
