I am restoring a 69 camaro i removed my interior the floor pans have only surface rust i took a angle grinder with a wire wheel and cleaned them all is very solid my question is what to cover the pits the surface rust left thanks

Greg,
I just got done ssandblasting the entire underneath of my 68 camaro,I used a product called POR-15 on it and the stuff is really good. You can brush ,yes brush this stuff on and it will show "0" brush marks.It is made to put directly over a rusted surface but needs some chemical etching. The company advertises in Car-Craft and Hot Rod.If I did this again I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I was skeptical but I'll recomend it now !! |

POR15 can be used on rust on the insides of cars too.
