3970014 350 2 bolt main short block, combination of stamped code and VIN come back as correct for 1971 Camaro SS from Van Nuys plant (350ci, at, 270hp).

Comes with oil pan, timing cover. Not sure about crankshaft, probably cast, I did not have the pan off, but owner says its a 2 bolt main. Engine was supposedly a good runner. Also includes a pair of 993 heads and a flexplate.

Owner says it a 2 bolt, and I have no reason to doubt that. If it ends up being a 4 bolt, it would just be a bonus. I am just wondering what it is worth.

A lot of variables to consider to get to a wiw range however if it helps i'll share my experience.
I've been researching these since I picked up one a few weeks ago to build since it was cheap. Mine is a '73 014 2 bolt, std bore, 2442 cast crank, coded CLK (73 Z), complete shortblock, pan, intake, flywheel, waterpump, covers, and pulleys for a steal at $30. Pistons/rods are out of it(?). Heads are mia.

^ a 73 z28 engine will have a 4 bolt main 350 with forged internals. so maybe a restamp. it should also be a 010 block being NO camaros were built in LA in 73

the motor in question ; a 71 ss 350 motor should have 4 bolt main as most if not all 350 in the early 70s that had 4 bbl carbs had 4 bolt mains. the 71 ss 350 motor was a 4 bbl motor
