Default vinyl top replacement

I have some bubbles popping up under the vinyl on my 69, going through the process in my mind and thinking of doing it myself. However, been reading on the forum about getting a pro to put on the top. Anyone seen videos/pics on vinyl top replacement. Was trying to find some pics in the forum but the links listed must be old. I difficult would you rate this project?

I'll be watching this thread closely as I will be doing mine. I don't think it will be that hard after all I have to go to get to that point. Those rust bubbles might get serious. I have some ideas on how to do it from something I've read. My biggest concern is what to use for glue.

3M 8090 Super Spray Trim Adhesive or Weldwood/Dap contact Cement for vinyl tops, the latter is gun sprayable for better and more uniform coverage. Here's a reference link but multitudes of purchase points are available. Buy locally and save the H.Waste fee. http://www.rochfordsupply.com/produc..._ProdId_E_3838

I just quickly googled this for you. Just do it. Level of difficulty is relative. If your building a car you should be able to handle it. If you can put a headliner in you can do this. When you do it you'll find out.

The '69 is easier to do than the '67-'68s since the vinyl does not go all the way to the drip rails. I did a couple and they're pretty straightforward. Measure twice, cut once. Start at the middle of the roof and do one side at a time.

Have fun!
