Default Fuel Pump & Fuel Filter Vent Return Connections

Hi Guys, this is my first post - really enjoy the site.

I have a 69SS/RS350 ground up resto that I bought from a restorer - but it came with much work remaining to be done. The resto is near 100% stock. I have a fuel question.

The fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel pump and fuel filter are new and empty. There are two lines coming from the tank (3/8" fuel and 1/4" vapor return). Both lines stop just below the fuel pump. The fuel pump has 3 connections on the bottom: 3/8" incoming fuel with clamp connection, 3/8" fuel to carb with threaded connection, and a 1/4" clamp connection. There is an in line fuel filter installed near the water pump and it has 3 connections: 3/8" threaded connection for fuel in, 3/8" threaded connection for fuel out, and a 1/4" vapor return clamp connection on the top of the filter. The factory Assembly Instruction Manual shows a 1/4" pipe connection from the 1/4" vent on the top of the fuel filter with the pipe extending down to the bottom of the fuel pump. That pipe came with the car and I think it is original. So, at the location near the bottom of the fuel pump there are 3 x 1/4" connections:

- 1/4" vapor return line from gas tank
- 1/4" connection on fuel pump
- 1/4" pipe coming down from in-line fuel filter

3 connections to be made but the AIM does not show how to connect them. Can anyone help?
Many thanks.
