Has anyone had this happen. I went with the Hot cam and fastburn setup and bought those GMPP chrome valve covers. We spent endless hours trying to set the valves and kept getting a rapping sound. It wasnt till we tried adjusting the valves with the covers off that we noticed there was no noise, so we thought all was good, then put the covers back on and...tap, tap, tap! We looked on the inside of the valve covers and they were getting grooved becasue the rockers were hitting them. Never would have thought of that. Is anyone using the same setup and not having this happen?

Get the tall valve covers.

Or thicker gaskets (that's cheaper)
