They must be selling out or something. Seems like they would make more money if they sold them one at a time so they must have a very good reason to list them all.

ould be a lot of reasons for offering so many blocks up at once. Maybe the hassle and expense of individual auctions is part of the equation.
Why not hang a big reserve on a large auction and take a chance on that one buyer submitting a bid to take everything? Smart move imo.

I will be suprised if this auction meets the reserve.

That does make sense but you would need two buyers for it to be bid up to reserve.

No, on Ebay if your bid meets or exceeds the reserve, your bid would be at the reserve.

yeah, others have speculated that he just puts that listing up for advertising purposes. Still, an impressive collection.

I think you misunderstood.

You need 2 bidders in any auction including ebay. If the first bidders limit is $1,000,000 and there is no other bid, it never goes higher than the opening bid or the next increment over the last bid. The only way it can hit reserve is to have 2 bidders each with a bid over reserve. One bidder can't increase the bid beyond his last high bid.

Be careful of the chandelier, sometimes they will bid against you!

A great reason to sell right now is to take advantage of the recent news that Tonawanda has stopped production of Big Blocks. Of course that does not affect these blocks, but there is some confusion and panick among Big Block fans, so maybe one of them will bite on this offer. It's the old buy on the rumor and sell on the news theory of capitalism!

You can't give a big block away right now. I've been trying for over a month and it's priced right.

I have bought things that way lots of times, and had people buy my stuff that way. If you bid at or over the reserve price on Ebay, your bid will then be at that reserve and the auction will show RESERVE MET.
Try it sometime. I have been buying and selling on Ebay for years.

I have been as well and I have never heard of that. I have bid over reserve on some items and because no one else bid the item never met reserve and thus did not sell. I will need a better explanation I guess.
