Under mileage but way over the date to change oil
I don't know how I missed this, but I don't drive my Camaro much. Drove it yesterday for the first time in a few months. I noticed the sticker on my windshield and now I'm in panic mode. I'm way under the mileage but way over the date I was due for a change (like 8 months!). the oil appears very clear however. how concerned should I be? This car's not driven hard; just putter around town. (mods: I posted this last night but can't find it now, sorry if it's a double post)

oil collects moisture and should be changed when seasons change.I change mine just before summer.

hot rods or personal toys if driven should be every 3 months or when the oil turns!

I agree it should be changed more frequent but I wouldn't loose any sleep over it. Change it now and don't worry.

thanks guys. I was sweatig it out for a while. gonna change the oil today.even taking my kid to school in it... she likes the attention from all the boys. thanks again.

Don't worry about it. I change my oil every 12 months since I only drive the car about 500 miles a year.
