I am putting my 1970 Plane Jane back on the road and I have to replace all of the suspension, I had issues years ago with wheel hop and I really had a hard time hooking up (with original factory susp). Just wondering what the tried and tested set ups are out there and the advantages and disadvantages.

I am running a 350 .40 over 9:1 powerforged piston head, speed pro comp cam (can't remember the specs) holley 650 with mechanical secondaries gm holley intake, hei ignition with custom recurve, Headman headers, walker (tin can) exaust, th350 with 3500 stall and shift kit .411 10 bolt rear end. (no power steering or brakes) just waterpump and alternator.
I mainly use it for street racing, would like to start hitting the shootouts this year but I have to get it out of the hole. |

search traction bars.
Sounds like you just need a good set of traction bars, or leaf springs that are made to eliminate wheel hop. Everyone seems to like cal tracks, search... |
