It stated in auction there is none (no docs), and the decals and side pipes were removed and sold a while ago. a Z27 (ss 350)car would be the last thing I would even think would be a motion car. Maybe a L34 or L78 trim tag stamped tag would be half way there believable in the store. Everyone who is a camaro 67-69 guy has or had a 70-73 camaro around even Z27 cars...

Without some solid proof, it's just another camaro.

Most Motion 71 and 72 Motion cars were plain jane 307 and 6 cylinder cars. They couldnt get a 12 bolt or any other good stuff from the factory,so why pay for the extra options? I know of one Baldwin Motion car that started life as a 307 th350 car with a 2.73 posi 10 bolt,it got a 550 hp 454 and th400 swapped into it and the stock 10 bolt got 4.10 gears stabbed in it without even coming out of the car.It has the stock small block springs, small block heater box, ect. Low mileage survivor with original Baldwin window sticker,Motion invoice and all that. The car has had nothing but oil changes over the last 40 years,so it is oh riginal.

But back to the original question. I saw that listing last night, and would say that the owner needs some kind of documentation. The car should have a 10 bolt in it unless the original buyer paid extra for a 12 bolt. The up side is that there is no such thing as a numbers matching engine or trans for a Motion car so once it is documented the restorer can use any somewhat plausable date coded block and engine parts/trans to restore the car. It still looks like a lot of work.

Just one interesting thing I noticed. It doesnt look like the ood is a new gel coated hood,it looks like somebody painted it black over red. If you look at the edges as well as inside the recesses in the scoop it looks like it is chipped back to red paint. The underside is beat up with a lot of repairs.I wonder about the hood.

There is nothing to say that this isnt the remains of a Motion car since Motion did every car a little different, but without paperwork it should never be worth more then just a clapped out SS350.

Ya I forgot about the car fax funny in my prior post. That did make me laugh too. Imagine, us not needing original docs for our cars. "" Ya this is my 1969 ZL1 car with no docs or past history, BUT!!!! I have the car fax.."" That is even more BS. Good thing that cars on the trailer. the manure around it would make it rot

The ad states that carFax report said it is a “Phase III Promo car”?

I never heard of that before.

If it was new from Baldwin Auto as stated, then an NICB would be a big help to sell it
