Default vortec heads

hey guys just a quick question , I have a 1982 350 crate engine with a comp 270 cam and elbebrock intake would vortec heads make a difference in performance? and if so how would I go about finding a pair that would work with my engine like year or model ect.

Yes, The vortec heads have smaller combustion chambers (64cc's to boost your compression) and larger runners (170cc's for better flow) then most older heads. The biggest problem with vortec heads is that you must use a vortec intake manifold and center bolt valve covers. If you need those too, then its a wash. A set of iron Darts or RHS Pro-Action heads may be cheaper.
