After 41 years, its finally time to replace my Defroster Defuser. Problem is, I need to find one. Does anyone here have a WORKING defuser or know where one can be had. I AM willing to pay. Mine has gotten to the point that it is so warped that the flapper inside will not close or open fully anymore. This is NOT the Y shaped piece that runs from the defroster vents in the dash but the piece that sits UNDER that Y piece. My car does have a/c but I believe the defuser is the same in a/c and non a/c cars. My email is RAJ484@cableone,net.

Are you talking about the box that sits under the dash with the flapper doors to direct the air to the defroster or floor ducts? This is rebuildable with a new seal kit. If not possible to rebuild I see them on eBay occasionally and the restoration shops sell a reproduction unit. Also know that the same box was used in the Nova from about 1968 through about 1973. Where are you located?
