There is a kit and it's called a "Sector shaft seal kit". The only problem is after you get the old seal out you will need to see is the sector shaft if worn too badly to hold a new seal.

I've done a few of these the quick and dirty way. Take the pitman arm and snap ring off, put a bucket under it, then start her up and crank the wheel hard to the stop. The pressure forces out the seal. Clean area and put in new seal. Like I said "quick and dirty", not a proper rebuild.

Exactly. It's worth it to try replacing the seal vs. buying a new/reman steering box. One extra step is after you remove the pitman arm, put the nut back on...just a few threads...that way when you blow the seal out you can see how the old one was installed. I suppose this will be your first one so hopefully that tip is helpful to you.

yes it is my first one thanks for the tip. Right now I have the eng. out. So you think I should wait and do this when the eng. is back in the car?
