Hello TC! I have a 68' rs 327 with A/C. I was wondering if anyone knows how long the left lower water pump bolt should be. It appears that all the repro places only sell the bolts for the right side for cars with A/C. The one I have is obviously the wrong one and I'd like to put the right one back in. Thanks in advance for any advise!

If you have the water pump, just add in about an inch longer than the pump mount boss but if it has to be an orginal bolt, you might try one of the repo vendors, Classic, NPD, etc.
Bolt is not in a blind hole. My AIM manual just gives a std service bolt part number, no lengths but its a 3/8"s bolt. Think your a/c braket is above this? 67-68 seem to be differant than 69. Classic sells a 1256617 set only with correct markings.

Try contacting amkproducts.com . They sell bolt kits kits that should have the substitute bolts you require, or at least their known lengths.
The 2 GM numbers you need have no cross reference in their catalog to their actual replacement parts. In all honesty, the last companies I would consider to have the correct, accurate parts would be the repro vendors. They are so wrong, so often.

If you don't need a date correct numbers matching bolt just go to your local hardware store and get a 3/8-16 x 2 1/2" or 2 3/4" grade 5 flange head bolt. Be sure and use sealer on whatever bolt you get - it threads into water
