Looking for new front seats and not wild about this wide shoulder thing. Want to keep it no too expensive, so $300 each is out.
I may have to settle on these ??? Anyone else have them (likes/dislikes ?)

Dislike on these modern seats is they overall design doesnt fit in with the 40 yr design
But lets face it the orginal seeat suck as to comfort.
I have 1988 leone/omega suburu seats that run on the orginal runners...and damn near the same shape and size....they also lean back and give far better access to the rear seat.

I like them Doug. Got a contact for ya if you want to recover them in the original look which will help them not pop out at ya. Maybe fit them in and later recover them.

Doug,

I know you have seen the 4th gen seats in the 1st gen, Here is a set I put in a 69 from a 2002 firbird. It has the smaller headrest and the headrest was shaved down to look better.

Unless your looking for a seat for a 5 way harness.

Here ya go Steve. jeffrey roessler [jrautocenterinc@yahoo.com] You will have to supply and ship the seats. To cover my scat rally seats in the delux pattern was 1100.00. Email him the seat you want to use and a pic of your int. He does all of prodigy customs work and is located in florida.

If I could find a new set I could afford....the ones I posted are $150 each from SummitRacing. Thats about my limit
Finding a decent/affordable set from a 99 and up Camaro/Firebird is about non-existent

I had some Bomz very similar to those that PO installed. I yanked them b/c I wanted an original look. But, aside from that, the backrest/headrest was really high inside the car. There were only a few inches of clearance between the top of the headrest and the roof. Between that and the wide shoulders (as you mentioned), they looked way too big in there.

Mike, I forgot to ask you where did you find the adaptors to install them in your car?

Thanks

No one up there is a skilled upholsterer? I've used 2 shops over the years both did quality work.

Boneyards can locate seats anywhere with their parts locator. But unless you know someone in the biz you will not get a deal. Craigslist and word of mouth through contacts are two ways to locate deals on seats. E-bay is a gamble on price.
