Default saginaw 4 speed vs munice 4 speed in weight

can someone tell me the weigh differences between the saginaw 4 speed & the munice m21 thanks

Just took out a saginaw and put in a muncie m20...i never weighed them but from carrying them it has to be at least a 25+ difference. I know the saginaw is made of steel and the muncie aluminum.

If you are considering switching to the muncie because it's lighter, based on that alone, the advantage would be negligible. Strength, yes, the muncie has it. For a cruiser like mine the saginaw's one advantage may be that you have more gearing options due to a wider range of gear sets.

I think the Muncie weighs about 85 lbs and the Saginaw weighs about 120 lbs or so.
