Need a liile info. I have a 69 with a 350 and with about 375 HP. It has a 4:11 and a TH350 with a 3000 stall converter. I want change it out on a semi budget. I can get a clutch, bell housing, etc. My questions (P.S. I'm pretty much a novice)
1- Will the T45RS 350 be enough or should I use the 425? 2-Will it fit in fairly easy? 3-Will the shfter be in the correct location (I have a console)? 4-Has anyone done this? 5-From what I read I may need a shorter drive shaft. If so does anyone know the length. 6-What problems will I run into. Thanks |

1- Will the T45RS 350 be enough or should I use the 425? RS400 PerfectFit for $2295 complete kit with new driveshaft - less with deletions of d/s 2-Will it fit in fairly easy? PerfectFit - no cutting, perfect driveline angle, factory shifter position 3-Will the shfter be in the correct location (I have a console)? YES 4-Has anyone done this? YES - will be posting pictures soon 5-From what I read I may need a shorter drive shaft. If so does anyone know the length. Approx 3inches. We supply a new driveshaft in the kit, or you can have yours shortened locally. 6-What problems will I run into. clutch disc spline is different - add $69 for performance clutch disc. you can reuse a 2-bolt style handle, or use our replica Camaro handle for $89 Here is a link to the kit. The RS is our top seller! |
