Default 350 bypass hose

Do I have to run the bypass hose from waterpump to intake or can I just plug the intake hole and run top wp hole to heater core? What problem could this cause to the engine?

The bypass on a 350 is on the block. It's the lower hole on the passenger side of the water pump. If you want heat, you need the water pump connected to the heater core and the passenger side port on the intake connected to the other leg of the heater core. The port on the driver side of the intake is typically used for a temperature sensor.

Okay, so the 4'' hose from WP to intake does not have to be connected? I can just put a plug in the front hole on the intake
