Sorry for the repost, but I need help. My 67' glass is cupped not straight, which is creating a gap on the outer and inner felt strips. I was given a link to check out and decode my glass (CGR).
OK here is what I gathered, yes the glass is straight. It is safety plate, tempered float no tint represented by AS-2 It has the LOF stamp, M-71 The thing that I'm confused on is the NN stamp which represents the date. Jan 1971. Is this correct? Could this be the issue? I need to determine if the original glass that was placed in the trunk is a 71 and that glass from a 71 could still line up with the track and actually function, which it does. Help I'm very confused now. |

....me too..
![]() Are you thinking door glass from a 1971 Camaro will fit a '67 ?.. Sorry, I know nothing about the date codes. If your date theory is correct, I'd guess the glass would be an over the counter replacement ??

It fits on the guide, rolls up and down no problem, but there is the gap in center of door where the felt strip are 1/8" from the touching the glass

Ya gotta remember, 67 door glass is unique (wing window) among Camaro.
Being cupped, sounds like a defective piece....how does the other door glass/fuzzy fit ? Hopefully other 67 owners will chime in. I dunno, maybe the nature of the beast ?

OK double checked everything except the obvious mistake that I made, not reading the markings correct, NX which does indicate the correct year for the car. But this leads me right back to not being able to close this darn gap. Passengerside fits perfect. Thanks for all the help.

Can you post a pic ? Is this a new door or original ? GM or repop ?
If original how did the glass fit prior to rebuild ? Maybe the new fuzzys are wrong. Without pics and more info we are all just guessing. |

Ill try and post pics. I can't tell if the door is a repo or not, and it was in pieces when I bought it.

Using a straight edge, how does the drivers side glass compare with pass. side ?....and the top edge of the doors ?
May've had the door skin replaced...I wouldn't know for sure how to tell. Scott probably would. The factory plant/date code for the door frame is on the interior side, located in the center, towards the top. Will be a letter and 2 numbers....H35 for example.

I still have nightmares about when I fitted my glass..... There is no easy way. I couldn't ever get it perfect and have learned to deal with what I have.... The fact that it is a convertible didn't help.........
