Default 1969 convertible boot

What a pain in the *** it has turned out to be on installing the convertible boot cover! Does anyone know the trick on how to tuck in the front of the boot behind the back seat so it would stay down while driving? Does the back seat fold down?

The car is a 1969 pace car convertible.

No, the back seat doesn't fold down. The boot should just tuck in behind it.

It helps if the boot is warm. I used to let mine sit in the sun, but then I just stopped using it since the clips are also a pain in the A.
