Default what's best color to show Camaro's lines?

is there a "best" color to show a particular cars shape, or "lines". For instance, sometimes I see a Camaro without the rear spoiler and it love it, then other times on a different car it looks like its missing something. As far as paint goes, I'd guess semi-gloss paint job shows off the shape better than a glossy finish?

A person's photography skills determine the shot's quality.

what I meant wasn't just applied to pictures. But is there a color that, in general, shows the car's shape better than another color. Would it be a dark color? making the back more pronounced? I'm specifically thinking about shape of the '68 minus the spoiler.

Colors like silver, light blue, etc... but like said above the lighting has a big impact, because it can also make a light color washed out looking and a darker color pop.

Other than light...I tend to think that the angle of the shot is one of the more critical elements in taking the photo. IMHO

Black. Deep black w/ a few drops of blue thrown in.
Black doesn't need light to be black, lol.

Color doesn't play as important a role as surface quality/reflection. A friend of mine owns a ceramic shop where classes are taught in firing clay/slip. In the shop are hundreds of figurines/statues waiting to be fired. I noticed the contours/shape/detail of the item to be fired, are more pronounced before firing .Depending on the glaze applied to the surface before firing, it can make the surface very reflective which makes the detail less obvious. Hence, I think a matte surface like unfired clay shows detail/contour better because it is one color and very dull. Leads me to believe a satin or flat muted color will show the contour of a surface better than a glossy surface. A flat muted tan color like the color of clay will make the lines of a car stand out more. Have you ever noticed how the lines of a life-size clay model of a prototype car jump out at you?
Stay away from plaid, madras, camouflage, patterns, etc....LOL

What you are refering to is called color centric (when a color sets off the car and appears to look better than the same car in another color). It really is a matter of personal taste Mark but when a car in general doesn't have much appeal on it's own merrit you will sometimes hear someone say "that paint job really makes the car stand out". Often it's the use of more than one color or the addition of stripes or other graphic's that saves a not so desirable body style.

I have never seen a Camaro let alone any other car actually painted semi-gloss, there are suede and satin finish paints that look almost like polished primers, maybe that is what you mean by semi-gloss. It's very hard to see bad bodywork if the paint isn't glossy. When a car is in primer and being prep'd for paint a thin guide coat is sprayed to help visualize how straight a panel is. Low gloss might help hide a cars bad feature if you are into non-shiny paint.

Cars like the 1st gen Camaro are timeless in design and IMO no one color really makes the car stand out more than the others. It's one of the things that sets the car apart from others.

Personally I think that just about any color with high metalic flake helps accent the curves and lines of the body.

lighter colors will make lines and body panel gaps more obvious!
