such a potentially awesome car. .wrecked by the use of rectangular headlights and a dash that just looks wrong..

Its got ugly small ones!
The wheels make the car but in this case its one of its severe downfalls IMO.

You guys have to understand how long ago the car was built. He didn't have the same options as a car being built today. Overall I think it's a pretty nice car. It could use a few updates, but you have to appreciate the amount of work that went into it.
Yes, I would have built a different dash and probably picked different wheels, but I didn't build the car and he didn't build it for me.

Have to agree I like the overall look and concept of the car
With a few easy updates it could be a real 'stunner' at shows. It would be easy to refit an RS style front treatment, even with use of more modern headlamps under it ... I would loose the Cowl Hood in favor of something more 'aero' ... The replacement of the dash with readily available stock sheet metal and an updated aftermarket gauge cluster would also be very straighforward and retify the present 'tall' confirguration ... And the wheel-tire combo is a clear candidate for bolt-on upgrade, maybe something sorta 'retro' like 18~20" TT's and lower profile rubber ... All-in-all a very do-able project on a reasonably priced toy for someone

From the side...looks really great. The rounded wheel wells are the best choice in this case. Have to agree that wagon wheels would have looked outta place on such a low profile. IMO
As mentioned it needs a cover up for those rec lights. I think Cam '69 rear light set up would have been a better choice. Over all...looks like many hours of work went into this build. capt |

That's going to be in the running for best in show pretty much anywhere it goes I think - amazing piece of work, even with the few picks on styling choices.
