Default trial fitting NOS outer wheelhouse

I'm about to start replacing an outer wheelhouse and full quarter panel on the right hand side of a 68 Camaro. The wheelhouse is a NOS and the quarter is a AMD. Do I need to do any trial fitting while installing the wheelhouse or do I just line up the 3 holes to match those same holes on the inner wheelhouse ? Also, I've read many many articles on replacing full quarters, is there one that is considered "the best reference" as far as replacing a full quarter ? Thanks.

Trial fit it. Clamp the wheelhouse in place. Put the quarter in place. Unclamp the wheelhouse and move it around until it fits good to the quarter. Reclamp it. Remove the quarter and then weld the wheelhouse in place.
