Question Choosing wiring harness.

Hello there, my name is Corey and I'd like to rewire my 67 camaro converted into a rs. This was my dad's car that was left to me and I'm trying to make it perfect. I want to rewire because I've had a few issues with wiring breaking and bad connections in plenty of connectors. I've read some other forums about this but I still cannot decided on which harness to get. Painless? M&H? Classic Industries?...etc. This camaro has a sbc 400 with th350 transmission, hideaway head lights, a/c, console gauges, console shifter. Was originally equiped with 6cyl 2 speed, factory a/c, column shifter, gauges in intrument cluster. I'd like to get some what of a plug and play wiring harness and not really have to cut, splice, and crimp lots. I want to replace every wire on the car but cannot seem to figure out witch harnesses to buy. Most of the ones I look at don't come with a/c heater wiring, or not for console gauges, or no hideaway sections. Please help, just want to make it right.

Contact American Auto Wire(AAW), they are the best out there, they will have what you need.

They have an online catalog.

x2 on the American Autowire harnesses. They have the Factory Fit line that is an EXACT duplicate of the factory harness including original style fuse panel and glass fuses, or you can "modernize" to the new prong style fuse panel.

I just purchased and installed an engine wiring harness from AAW and it was spot on and looked original.

American Auto Wire in mine. I don't know if they are all like this from AAW , but mine was an " updated kit", not an original factory . So there was no wiring for external voltage regulator, so I had to get a 1 wire alt. . I know it came with wiring for gauges but nothing for A/C. It didnt have power window wiring also. So, you may have to improvise on a couple of things depending what your car already has in it. But it was well worth the money and I will definitely buy from them on the next one. Great product.

AAW has several lines, but the Factory Fit product line is original OEM. The update product lines are flexible and modular and you order what you need including charging circuit. It is easier to call them and order custom update harnesses over the phone.

+1. They'll also customize their harnesses in various ways.
