Default Super Trap mufflers.

Anyone use a set of these? Love the look, price is a little steep, but if its that sweet sound we r all lookin 4, then its worth the green.Would love to put a set of there 3in input on my 496bb out the back of my 69. Wont though, if they sound like every other straight through glasspac.

If they are the same ones I used on my VF1000 Honda in the mid 80's, the nice thing about them is you can add disks to them or take them away to tune the sound and the back pressure. Other than that, they are not much to write home about. I wouldn't go out of the way to run them on a first gen.

I just installed some Dynomax Super Turbos on my 468 BB with 2 1/2 inch pipes and love the throaty sound and for not much $$$$. They are very close to my other 468 with Flowmasters, but a bit quieter.

I bought my car with a 3" set and a Dr gas 3" cross over, i took off a bunch of plates but was still to loud for my taste. Your welcome to them if you want them?

My Jeep CJ has chevy 350 and in early 90's I had fenderwell headers and side exhaust with Supertrapps. They do sound like glass packs but not as "snappy" due to the spark arrest discs. I later switched to duel exhaust and had the trapps out the back. Eventually took them off because they built up too much heat around the gas tank. Sometimes I could hear the fuel perculating in the tank after a drive.

This is just my opinion but, I think you would do much better with a different muffler, especially on a first gen. Trapps out the back will look too ricer, no offense I hope.

Here you go, they are connected to a 3" dr Gas cross over, like i said, even with all the plates out you see in the middle was to loud for my taste. There dirty in this picture but it's only surface crud and will clean up nicely.
