Finally got around to installing these Morris Classic 3pt Seat belts in my 67. Really nice pieces no doubt. And they clear my 4th gen seats, where the stock retractors did not. Aside from having to hunt down the upper mouting holes in my newly redone headliner, the install was a breeze. If I had to comment on one thing, I prefer using hex head grade 8 bolts instead of Allen headed bolts incl in the kit. I would like to do the rear 3pt kit in the future as well. Here's a pic

I see. I mentioned that cause I stripped one of the Allen head bolts. It wouldn't thread in all the way for some reason. I went and got a hex head grade 8 bolt and it threaded in like butter.

Your installation looks nice.
+FROM MOD+ 67LS2... please don't post For Sale ads in the Tech area. Put an ad up in one of the two Classifieds areas. Thanks! Last edited by HwyStarJoe; Feb 11th, 12 at 05:59 AM. |

Jason,
Thank You for the Comments and the pictures. Sorry you had a problem with one of the bolts. The threaded holes in our older cars need to have a tap run thru them before trying to bolt our seat belts in. This ensures that yoou have good threads and a safe installation. Billy |

Any tips or reference points for locating the bolt holes under the headliner? I also just got mine done and didn't make note of the location.
Maybe a stupid question but did all cars come with the mounting holes in the roof? |

They are nice belts. I like them.
I installed a set in my vert and Billy was very helpful to make sure I got what I needed since it was a special application.

I installed the Morris belts in my 68 a few months back. I like your seats, is the rear a standard seat covered to match the front? Those front seats seem to fit in very well, if you do not mind, what year are they from?
Thanks, gene68ss |
