Inspect repro full convertible rocker panels before you install them. I have found 4 (and probably all) are welded together in the wrong position. The inner rocker is welded 1/2" too far back. So, when you align the notch in the floor with the new rocker as youre supposed to, the floor will be back 1/2" too far. This will cause the subframe to not mount properly and the rear frame rail, quarters, entire car to be 1/2" too long!! It's a major headache!!! I just finished fixing mine after the floor was in. Anyway, just be alert!

I forgot to add that if you find your rockers are aligned wrong, youll also need to remove a 1/2" section from the inner rocker about 6" from the front as they're also too long.. It took me a full day to figure this error out. Luckily I had an original 67 conv to compare measurements with.

Got any pictures of the problem area? I'm getting ready to change my rockers, though I'm using the separate inners and outers, so any help with getting them properly aligned would be helpful. I'll be cutting the rocker free of the old floor pan and replacing the pan later, so any good points of reference would be great. There's so much missing from the old ones that it's tough to work from existing points.

It's hard to take pictures because it deals with a large area. Here's a few things I have found: First. the the subframe mounting holes need to be exactly 30" from front hole to rearmost hole. If you level the car (on jackstands or whatever, use fishing line and a weight. Hang the weight under the center of the hole and mark the floor. Do this with all 4 and measure front to rear. It must be 30". Also, the rear frame rail support (torque box): The front edge of the torque box at the inner rocker must be 13" from the rear of the horizontal area of the outer rocker. This is basically the lower front edge of the rear wheelhouse.. The main thing is to mark everywhere you can before you cut anything out. If you're just replacing inner rockers, you may not have any problem. I did the full conv. rockers on both side and ultimatly had to drill out all the spot welds from inner to outer rocker, move the entire floor and inner rockers forward and re-weld.Now everything lines up ok, but major job! Good luck with yours.
