Default Detroit Speed RS light conversion?

I installed my new RS kit with the Detroit speed setup. Car is a non RS car been converted to RS. Do I need to install the headlight door bellcrank over-center spring? The springs are super tight.

Per DSE instructions. "On the headlight door assembly, there is an over-center spring installed and it must be removed"

I must have overlooked that. I didn't see it in the instructions.

No problem. Let us know how the install goes. I'll be installing mine in a couple months.

Can the DSE conversions be used with 67 and 68 RS headlight modules or just the 68?
I have thought of converting my 67 to RS and would use the 67 kit that is already electric but I understand that even these can be troublesome. I was thinking of the DSE solution and started wondering if I need a 67 or 68 modules to use them. I have found a 68 conversion on my local craigs list for a 68 that is complete. Person does not know if a re-pop or GM but it can be bought for $500.00 complete with the Grill, trim, actuators etc. Not a bad deal.
