Default hooker 2451 & trans mount

So has anyone had a problem with the header tube and the trans mount being in the way? Cut off the flange and about 1/4 of the three inch tube will hit the mount.Energy suspension mounts. Muncie M20.

Can you snap a picture of one of the motor mounts and frame stands, and a pic of the trans mount or give the measurement of the trans mount height (the rubber or poly block between the trans crossmember and trans)?

Here is the motor mount. Trans polly is 1 7/8 inch tall.

It appears that you have the wrong engine mounts. It looks like you have the "short and wide" (67-68) engine mounts with 1969 302/350 frame mounts. You need the "tall and narrow" 1969 engine mounts.

What year is your car ? What engine was the car born with ?

This should raise the engine and lower the transmission (and hopefully your header collectors).

Here are two pictures of the energy suspension engine mounts on 1969 302/350 frame mounts (stands).

The red mount is the incorrect "short and wide" engine mount.

The black mount is the correct "tall and narrow" engine mount.
