Do any you all ever take a “guest” for a ride in your Camaro & your guest:

1) Smells gasoline or fumes that YOU just don’t smell

2) They think the car rattles too much compared to modern day car

Or

3) Just don’t like the way the car “rides”????????????????

I never have anyone say anything bad about the way the car looks though, I mean the body style.

Yeah... the wife won't ride because "it smells".

The carbed setup is going away soon so that'll be a thing of the past.

No, I'm my own most critical rider in my Camaro... I usually get "Wow I didn't know old cars were as nice as this" or something of that nature.

All of above from my wife. My 13 yr old son loves it, has me pick hime up from school or ball practice in it. She don't count, Going to be his one day anyway,

I've never gotten weird comments other than from the old lady. Everyone is usually happy as hell to be riding in it because it's an old classic, and they know how much work I put into it.
Plus the passenger seat(s) are pretty damn comfortable.

Yes, I've heard all of the above complaints. I have come up with the following creative solutions...

If someone complains about #1: Not allowed in my car again.
If someone complains about #2: Not allowed in my car again.
If someone complains about #3: Not allowed in my car again.

If I hear complaints, they just don't get invited again for another ride. If they complain and then request another ride, they get one. Which has happened more than once...

The only complaint I get is that I don't take people on long rides. My car is my space in the world that not only makes me feel good but clears my mind of all the days problems.....until I almost get broad sided by an idiot on a cell phone running a red light! Then they hear MY COMPLAINT! My wife comes with me on late Sunday ice-cream rides and very seldom complains.

However, one day I was behind a 2011 Camaro and he revved his engine and took off when the light turned green. I tromped it for a second and let off because I am against road racing. All my car did was squat in the rear, raised the front end at the full spring extension and left two strips about 2 feet long. She almost ripped the grab bar off the dash and called me a fool She hasn't been in the car since.
